- Neil W. McLawhorn, founder of Superior Exterminating Company, Inc., started his career in the Pest Management Industry in 1948.
- Neil successfully completed the Orkin Management Training Program and was transferred to Roanoke, VA in 1964.
- In 1968 Neil declined a transfer with Orkin to Memphis, TN and founded Superior Exterminating Company in Roanoke in 1969. Neil’s dedication, integrity and commitment to his customers and the Pest Management Industry led to the founding of a continuing successful business.
- Neil’s son, Jerry L. McLawhorn took over as President in 1997.
- In January 2022, Superior Exterminating Company Inc. was acquired by Dodson Pest Control, headquartered in Lynchburg, VA.
